Ray Comfort admits his side is losing

My favourite Christian Creationist Cock-up, Ray Comfort, has a new book coming out. On a promotional website, he makes the following plea:

Please consider sending this short article to someone you know, and help to pull the plug on the rising tide of atheism.

The rising tide of atheism, eh? I guess that means he admits that the mental illness he is suffering from is losing ground to the rationality of atheism. Atheism and a belief in gods are in direct opposition to each other, so atheism can't be rising if it isn't taking energy from the other side.

Thanks Ray, you made my day! Yes, you're going to lose. You know what you could do to stop it? Ask your imaginary friend to actually make an appearance. That would stop atheism more than your bumbling, incompetent antics.

I think you'll find that Romans 16:21-23 pretty much silences your argument.

(From your posting I eventually ended up on 'Atheist Central' where pretty much every point is answered by the word 'Romans' followed by a sequence of random numbers)

This is your so called "logic"

(1)Ray thinks that atheism shouldn't be promoted

(2)You think that he suffers from mental illnesses and can't think rationally

You really need to try better than this, by using a more superior intellectual ability that you (might?) have

Hey Soli Deo gloria..... this post was just for fun. There are plenty of really well thought-out posts about Ray Comfort if you'd bother to click the 'Way of the Master' link on the topics sidebar. Ray Comfort is a simple-minded man struggling to come to terms with modern science, which is above his intellectual level.

But getting back to this post, when you summarised 'my logic', you forgot to mention the most important part of the post. Ray didn't just say atheism shouldn't be promoted, he said it is a 'rising tide'. For somebody like yourself to ignore that point, you must also be a simple-minded person suffering from the mental illness.

Have a nice day!

for the "atheist bloggers";

This particular piece of *BLACK PROPAGANDA* demonstrated the power of the internet to spread an unconventional message to unsuspecting targets...It also drove home the point that the supernatural can never be eradicated from our existence without a price...

Uh-huh... dude, that was the most unintelligible, rambling comment I've received so far on this site. Next time you visit, try to make some sense, will ya?

I'm not going to censor you, as long as you can keep the comments on-topic for this post. You've failed miserably so far. One more off-topic comment, and I'll wipe them all off.

Do you have anything sensible to say? I'm trying to figure out if you're threatening me or not. It doesn't seem that way, but honestly, you're making so little sense that I'm not sure.

“Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. “For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.

It is not about Ray Comfort(or Christians) vs. Atheist; it is about who will escape the wrath to come.
How does a "majority" make a thing right? Who (and yes I believe in a transcendent being - Jesus, God in the flesh) decides what "truth" is? If the majority were to believe the earth was flat - would that make it so? Or that the sun revolved around the earth. I do not think you have done your homework on the miraculous nature of God's "special revelation" in the Bible. Anyway, this is all presented with a desire to present Christ in a winsome manner - not to win an argument. Ransomed Soul

Ha ha ha ha! And I don't think you know that your holy book is toilet paper! How can grown people believe this trash?

Ray's 'imaginary' friend already made his appearance, his name is Jesus and rose again for your sin. Sin which still blinds you from seeing that very fact.

Will your 'clever' arguments cover for you when you stand before the all mighty God on judgement day? Will you say, "sorry God I don't believe you are real"? Atheism won't pay the price for your sin. Jesus will, if you ask him to.

The whole point is that there is no "sin". People might break social conventions or laws every so often but no supernatural entitiy is keeping their tally, so relax, ok?

Do you want some good ol' judgement? You are a wacko and you need a shrink, urgently.

And your imaginary friend does not care to appear on my breakfast toast, so I am quite dissapointed.

Wow Anonymous poster, I have to admit that your reasoning is solid, and I can see no hole in your argument (threat). Please teach me more about Jesus.
